Terrorists blow themselves up at Mecca
I wonder if there will be cheering in the streets of Riyadh and Gaza.

You sound almost gleeful about this tragedy.
Posted by: Dawn Summers at November 6, 2003 12:11 PMIf I could get a flight out there, then yes, there would be cheering in the streets.
Posted by: Ari at November 6, 2003 12:48 PM...no "almost" about it.
Posted by: Ari at November 6, 2003 12:49 PMThe fact that you would call this a tragedy (noone else but the scumbags were hurt) tells me all I need to know about you. You really are lost in a moral equivalent sewer. I actually feel sorry for you.
Posted by: Radical Redneck at November 6, 2003 01:30 PMAww, thanks radical redneck. you're sweet.
Posted by: Dawn Summers at November 6, 2003 04:13 PMI am Gleeful about two more terrorist dead. I hope the Saudi's keep the presssure on, They're saving our men the trouble. I fail to see the tragedy in this situation; maybe one dosen't exist.
Posted by: William V. Negherbon at November 6, 2003 04:25 PMThis is the most significant statement in the story:
“About 600 suspects believed linked to al-Qaida have been arrested since the May attacks, which killed 35 people, including the nine attackers.”
The Saudis never went after the Al-Qaida until there were American soldiers on their borders in Iraq. Now they are going after the terrorists with a vengeance. For these terrorists to try to set off a bomb in Mecca, the holiest of holy cities, is an act of pure desperation. This will win the Al-Qaida, the intense hatred of the Moslem world.
Algeria is another country scared to death by our liberation of Iraq. Now, they also are rounding up the Al-Qaida in their country whereas they ignored them before.
The liberation of Iraq was a key ingredient in making the Arab countries eliminate Al-Qaida from their borders. For this we have to be grateful for the courage of George Bush.
Posted by: Jake at November 6, 2003 06:00 PMI just too little too late in my opinion. the saudis are scoundrels at best.
Posted by: William V. Negherbon at November 6, 2003 06:18 PMJake,
I don't disagree with you, but I think the thing that got the Saudi's going is a terrorist attack within their own borders. That really woke them up. Woke up the U.S. when it happened there.
Posted by: Maccabee at November 6, 2003 07:01 PMAri, you are mentally disturbed and every bit as vile as the terrorists that you hate. Ah, but then again, they are making your life pretty tough aren't they ? I can see from the endless self pityful bleating on your sight that life is hard in one of the worlds most affluent citys. I guess suffering in others is the only thing that can offer comfort.
Posted by: Dr Kerr at November 7, 2003 08:43 AMDr. Kerr...
YOU pity terrorists and mourn the loss of them and think YOU have any credence when you call ME vile???
You are not very smart, are you?
Posted by: Ari at November 7, 2003 09:38 AMAri,
I do not mourn the loss of terrorists, and yes, it is better that they blew themselves up without harming others. I just don't see anything to be particularly happy about that's all.
Juan
Dr Kerr, You're just not looking hard enough. There are two less terrorists willing to blow up you and me. I'm glad they are dead, gleeful even. I would start a Guy Fawkes Day (like you guys have to commemorate the original terrorist plot foiled) to celebrate their deaths. Who is in? We can build bonfires and burn their likenesses on a stake, like the Brits do, right Dr Kerr?
Posted by: Kashei at November 7, 2003 01:03 PMKashei,
the effigy burnt on Nov 5th here originally represented the Pope (Guy Fawkes was part of a papist conspiracy). The capture of Guy Fawkes repesented something of a conclusion. Unfortunately the death the two terrorists amounts to just a small dent in the war against them. I don't think the killing will stop because of it.
So, in your expert opinion, what will stop the killing?
