How interesting

David Frum picks up a poll in the Guardian and notes:
Strikingly, the pro-Bush feelings are strongest among Labor rather than Conservative voters. This may reflect partisan politics: Labor votes backing the decisions of a Labor prime minister. But something deeper is at work. Deeper polls find that opposition to the war on terror and dislike of President Bush is strongest among the older, richer, and better educated. He does best among under-25s, worst among over-65s; best among the “C” class occupations (ie, skilled labor), worst among “A” class (ie, lawyers, professors, and doctors). You might have guessed, that, mightn’t you?

From my own experience of being in a "C" class occupation and now being in an "A" class occupation, those in "C" class occupations don't know fuck all. If you want to know all about some third division football team or about Jakie(19 from North London)'s tits then fine. But a greater understanding of what is going on in the world does not interest them unless it affects petrol or beer prices.
