Oh yeah, maybe crazy isn't so good
Tim Graham, over in NRO's Corner has a good theory on what exactly happened to Howard Dean: Saddam done did him in.

Dean's in second place overall - check The Note. At least for delegates. Funny how the media won't mention this. They seem to make it a 2-3 man race, with Dean out.
From ABC's The Note:
Here's the ABC News Political Unit tally of the 269 delegates that were parceled out last eve:
Kerry: 128
Edwards: 61
Clark: 49
Dean: 7
Sharpton: 1
And our overall delegate count:
Delegates so far (pledged delegates and superdelegates combined): Kerry: 246 (roughly 11 percent of the total delegates needed to secure the nomination)
Dean: 118
Edwards: 100
Clark: 81
Sharpton: 4
Kucinich: 2
I actually just finished reading the Note. Off the topic question- do you think I should add it to my links? It is something I read everyday but it's not a blog, per se.
Anyway, yes, Dean is in second place but even that is surprising given the commanding lead he had for so long. Nobody could touch him in numbers, both poll and cash, and now he's struggling to keep up.
yeah, that's why I have a non-blog area (blog food) for what I read, like Drudge, Times, FoxNews, etc. I don't know blogroll's capability, but maybe you could set up 2 different blogrolls? 2 accounts?
Posted by: Scott S at February 4, 2004 02:14 PMBest of the Web isn't really a blog either.
Posted by: Peter at February 4, 2004 04:25 PMI didn't review the NRO article but I have my own theory on Dean.
It was a conservative conspiracy with the media to boost Dean as the front runner because he would be easy for Bush to run against.
Posted by: PAUL at February 4, 2004 09:04 PMPaul, given what I have seen of the campaign so far (and especially the more I see of Dean), your theory seems plausible, if not the only logical explanation.
There you go K. Kerry has taken out one guy with a lead in the polls and cash - now for Bush (-:
Bobby and Paul,
You have to be a in a special lala land to think that the conservatives have any influence over the media. Over 75% of 'journalists' identify themselves as left-leaning.
K, Bobby and Paul reinforce my theory of the black hole of human ignorance. They've entered it, multiplied from which never to escape.

"75% of journalists identify themselves as left leaning"
Ah, yes, of course, but the other 25% are the ones getting larger audiences, recieving more money, and are therefore natural Republicans. Or something.
By the way, does the bias extend to producers, editors, and proprietors ?
Bobby, does it ever. Why do you think Fox News is such a success? Because all the other stations are hugely liberal and don't even try to pretend otherwise. It's the same concept as the Spanish language radio station being the highest rated in NYC. It's because there is essentially only one. Fox just covers topics more fairly. It's a change.
