Blah blah 3,000 dead, blah blah blah

It makes me nervous how bored some people seem with the War on Terror. It's just not glitzy and exciting enough to compete with Janet Jackson's breast.

In a speech about the War on Terror, that some people are bored of hearing about (not me)Bush said the words; "peeance, freeance"

"It’s in the interest of uhh uhh, long-term peace in the world that we -- uhh -- work for a free and secure and peaceful Iraq. A peeance, freeance secure Iraq in the midst of the Middle East will have enormous historical impact."

What do those words mean? Or did he mispeak?

Here is an audio link, it's not the dihonestW link i posted before that you may have deleted.
But dishonestW is where I heard freeance peeance.

It's intersesting how we rightfully make fun of Kerry for his incessant references to his service in Vietnam, but balk when wonkettes make fun of the frequency of Bush's speaking of the war on terror.

That's not a double standard on our part. Two brutal terror-sponsoring regimes which terrorized some 50 million people are now toppled under Bush's leadership. As far I'm concerned, that gives Bush a 50 million-plus-3000 time allowance so use the phrase that so bores the wonkette.

Was the wonkette put off by John Kerry's already-trite slogan, "It's time for a regime change in Washington," a slogan lifted from already-faded bumper stickers?

Sometimes, too, I wish there was more variety in the vocabulary for this war on terror, because people are sensitive to hearing the same thing repeatedly said. At least with Bush's frequency, it's not just a slogan.

My favorite was "something that happened in New York a couple of years ago."

And that's my "blah blah blah blah" by the way.

Holy Mary mother of GOD!

I found the Peeance Freeance video! (off the White House website, no less)

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/10/20031027-1.html#

Peeance Freeance in full color!

The funniest part is watching Paul Bremer's whiplash reaction after Bush's Peeance Freeance proclamation

Its toward the tail end of the file - like 3/4ths through (follow w/ the transcript).

Notice, that the transcript reads "A free and secure Iraq in the midst..." but this obviously is in stark contrast to the audio

Enjoy~Holy Mary mother of GOD!
