Did you hear his campaign speech today?

It was fantastic.
Doug was saying the other day that they have to get Bush out there, among the people where he thrives, and he was completely right. Bush looked relaxed, happy, casual (and his clothes fit really well, I guess he's working out again) and his attacks on Kerry were said with humor but they were still hard hitting. Some good lines:'He's following an interesting strategy. The other day, here in Florida, he claimed some important endorsements from overseas. He won't tell us the name of the foreign admirers. That's okay, either way I'm not too worried because I'm going to keep my campaign right here in America' and 'My opponent admits that Saddam Hussein was a threat. He just didn't support my decision to remove Saddam from power. Maybe he was hoping Saddam would lose the next Iraqi election.'
I watched it on the phone with Dawn and she was so dying for him to slip up. At one point, he said 'I'll never forget that day. One guy pointed at me and said, "Don't let me down."' and Dawn thought he said G-d pointed at him and you should've heard the glee in her voice as she rewound on her tivo. Too bad for her, Bush did great.

Bush’s prepared speeches are much better than Kerry’s both in content and delivery. He words are memorable and his delivery is sincere and believable. Kerry’s speeches are ponderous in the extreme.
But Bush cannot speak off-the-cuff and should avoid doing so at all costs. He has a word-search problem just as I do. And I don’t say more than two sentences in front of a crowd without having written them down first.

Yay. Two rich New England kids from Yale, one who would be a nothing without his old man, the other who would be a nothing without his wife, both stomping all over the American dream. And they wonder why so many people don't vote.....
