Because of the Democrat primary, the media has been crammed with anti-Iraq Liberation and pro-Saddam propaganda for the past 6 months.

It is a testament to most Americans’ good sense and compassion that support for the Liberation is as high as it is.

The Majority of Americans also believe Saddam Hussein was responsible for 911. So it's not suprising Americans would support the war.

Although Bush and his administration never claimed Saddam and Iraq were responsible for 911 most Americans really don't follow events intelligently and closely enough to notice.
It was easy for Bush to perpetuate American ignorance by constantly saying 911=terrorist, Saddam=terrorist, Al-Queda=threat, Iraq=threat.
Americans, like the adminstration hoped, just lumped the whole thing together.
