Question

If I wanted to post something private on this site, not that I ever, uh, would, and I wanted to link to it at either www.alarmingnews.com/karol or www.karol.alarmingnews.com, how would I go about doing that? I use MT, if that's any help at all.

It's not clear what you want to do. You want to post something here that's only viewable by certain people?

Right.

I mean, I don't care if others find it but it would only be interesting to a small number of people.

just create a directory at the root level - probably next to /mt when you ftp in. Call it "karol" and use
www.alarmingnews.com/karol to view things in it.

Great way to post things too large to email people, like pics.

Yeah, if you don't want to password-protect it or anything, that is by far the easiest way to do it. You can then link to that stuff from this page or your other blogs, or a new index.html page in the new directory. The more complicated (initially) way is to run multiple blogs, something that can be done with pMachine but I don't know about MT. But it sounds like you don't need to get that complicated.
