Excuses.
From Lileks:
So they found a sarin shell? Eh. Halliburton put it there, it was old, and besides everyone knew Saddam had WMD, and we gave him the sarin anyway, and it would be news if we found 400 shells, but if they were old undeclared shells they wouldn’t count because they weren’t a threat to us anyway – do you know that most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi? Why aren’t we invading them? Not that we should, that would TOTALLY be about oil, anyway , did you read Doonesbury today? He had this giant hand talking in a press conference. This big giant floating hand. I think it was a reprint. I like when he has that bald dude who’s in charge of some Iraqi city. Bald dude is like, wasted.

Guy, then why doesn't Bush hold a press conference saying: I apologize for talking about that "weapons of mass destruction related programs" I meant what I said originally, WMD and aha, here it is!

In his current article, Reich Whinger Bill O'Reilly has declared he is boycotting Canada and its products and demands that all Americans follow his lead.
"On my television program, I have advised the Canadian government that if the deserters are not returned post-haste, I will no longer buy Canadian products or visit the country. I believe many Americans will take the same stance. The reason for this is because of two Americans, Jeremy Hinzman and Brandon Hughey, who enlisted in the US military but fled to Canada after their units were to be deployed to IraqMess'O'Potamia.
O'Rubelys beef is that the Canadian government has given them temporary residence until a hearing can be held later this year. You see, unlike Ashcroft's Amerika, Canada believes in following the rule of law where people are innocent until proven guilty. This offends Reich Whinger Bill who obviously believes in the rule of chaos where people are assumed to be guilty, are left to rot in jail indefinitely without being charged and will have their rights stripped away."
Given that Canada supplies the US with 30% of its energy needs, I seriously doubt that O'Rubely will be able to even personally carry out his boycott of Canada and its products. Every time he fills his car with gas, turns on a light switch or the furnace, the odds are that the gas, oil or electricity he's using comes from Canada. As for him, or any of you Reich Whingers, not visiting the country, tell me again how that's bad.

I'm not sure you can answer this question without using your uh, very funny play on words, but what makes O'Reilly a rightwinger? I mean, other than the fact that that's what you're told?
Dawn,
I wish he would.
Posted by: Karol at May 18, 2004 03:40 PMOh, Canada. You're so cute when you're upset.
>Canadians to Bush: Hope You Lose, Eh
If it weren't just the whiney last gasps of a dying, irrelevant nation, it would be funny.
