Too much on Moore lately, but....
....this is the headline of the day.

Karol, surely you must realize by now that Michael Moore is the sanest person in the world of psychotic, intellectually deformed chickenhawks who inhabit the top levels of government in the White House and the Pentagon. Moore is brilliant, and his work skewers the foolish pretentions of the preening adolescents who purport to lead us. My only hope is that Ashcroft et al. do not attempt to bar distribution (through raw political pressure) of the new documentary before November.
Posted by: Michael at May 23, 2004 08:06 PMHey Michael, awfully defensive about Moore's sanity considered it was mentioned in this post at all. You have your doubts huh.
And seriously, how much kool-aid do you need to drink to believe, truly believe, that anyone would stop corny Michael Moore's movie from coming out. I hope you'll have to live in a country where things like that happen so you can understand how stupid what you write is.
Posted by: Karol at May 24, 2004 01:29 AMIt's interesting how Republicans are getting upset about a movie none of them have seen.
On the other hand, if it is the least bit critical of the Bush Administration you just know it has to be wildly inaccurate, idiotic and unpatriotic.
Sort of like Richard Clarke, Paul O'Neill, Anthony Zinni and their favorite, the Dixie Chicks.
Posted by: Rick at May 24, 2004 06:46 AMoooh...michael moore is fat. so clever.
Posted by: Dawn Summers at May 24, 2004 11:01 AMActually, I HATE Kool-Aid. I haven't drunk any since the fifth grade.
Karol, the Washington Post, your favorite morning read, ran a story last week about how the administration is upset with Moore's latest work. The trial balloon leak was testing to see if there would be criticism of the Republicans if the movie were somehow held up until after the elction. I personally think it's a tempest in a well-known drinking bowl, but the fact that the report surfaced at all is testimony to the skittishness of the brave men and women of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
Posted by: Michael at May 24, 2004 11:14 AMRick, according to his track record, his movie will be hysterical and innaccurate like his previous movies and his books.
Dawn, you're the only one that got it!
Michael, I didn't see the piece in the Post but I'm going to go ahead and assume it cited 'unnamed White House officials' talking off the record. If you really believe that the White House would suppress a freaking movie, then your hysteria has gotten out of control and you should seek help.
Posted by: Karol at May 24, 2004 12:32 PMDawn, what's your hat size? I'm getting you one of these.
Posted by: Radical Redneck at May 24, 2004 05:39 PMMichael emailed me and said that he had erred in accusing the Bush administration of trying to supress the film. Why didn't he just comment? I do not know.
Posted by: Karol at May 24, 2004 10:20 PMBecause I'm afraid!
