Is Buchanan hosting his own show there, or is he doing an interview? I see it's WBAP, which is a station out of Dallas.

My guess is interview. According to WBAP.com, it's Mark Davis followed by Paul Harvey.

Had to be an interview, I was listening to the Mark Davis Show this morning in my car, but I didn't hear Buchanan.

He was taking calls from Texas and when I parked and left my car he was trying to get Mayor Koch to sit down for an interview, typical MD line up when he can swing it.

Yeah both have taken their shots at the GOP lately. But Pat Buchanan should know there is no room for him at a Republican convention where Bloomberg, Pataki, Rudy, Arnold and McCain celebrate campaign "reform", massive defecits, the NEA, publicy cheating on your wife, abortion (in some of those cases, even supporting the monstrosity known as partial birth abortion), same sex marriage, steroids, big government and so on.

This is a Republican convention. I suspect this will not be a conservative one. Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan have truly left us.

Oh, the times! Oh, the good ole days!
Perhaps Pat Buchanan should realize his idealism doesn't belong in politics. I hope he keeps rapping with Ali G, because that's the most intelligent thing he has done. Perhaps Pat could be successful entertaining girl scouts, because I don't see anyone else taking him seriously.

Did Ali G get that whole "throw the Jew down the well" idea from Pat?

Pat Buchanan is just upset that he won't be able to torpedo the re-election efforts of this George Bush the way he did the previous one. He won't get to within 50 yards of the podium this time. The Republican party became 100% better when it jettisoned this bigoted idealogue.

Pat Buchanan: Sad. Two time presidential candidate now a radio jock.

Air America: I'm sure the RNC will Kick them out as soon as Randy Rhodes says something not-so-flattering about Cheney.

"Oh, the times! Oh, the good ole days!"

That's odd Ivan. If I recall correctly, the GOP platform is pretty clear on abortion, same sex marriage and other social issues. I do think it is odd that many of the leading speakers at the GOP convention are in sharp opposition to many of its core tenants.

"Perhaps Pat Buchanan should realize his idealism doesn't belong in politics."

Buchanan wrote speeches for Nixon and Reagan and did very well in 2 of his 3 presidential campaigns. While I disagree with him on many issues from trade to 1930s foreign policy, I think there is room for him and idealists in general (not so sure I would call him one though) in American public life

Not for nothing, but if they are really celebrating publicly cheating on your wife I think Clinton and McGreevey should at least get a few minutes on the podium.
It's only fair.

Well, to be fair, the Clintons had their podium time in Boston and I really, really don't think that wild horses could drag McGreevey out to that podium. I don't think that he's all that eager to be behind any podium right now.

In any case, Clinton (Bill) is still pontificating about people bearing "false witness," which I think is pretty funny, all things considered.

Just me or do you think Rep. Edward Schrock's (R-VA) sudden resignation due to tapes showing he solicited other men for sex will get a pass since the convention is going on.

woah, missed that whole dealy. Did he have a press conference? Was his wife there...man, talk about republican me-tooism.
