Does anyone have any idea how to upload video from dv to my harddrive?

You need - probably - a firewire cable and port, along with a program that can take video input. I use Adobe Premiere, but I am sure that Windows Movie Maker does it as well, and is free to boot on XP machines.

If your laptop is over a year or two old, you may need to buy a firewire PCI adapter card.

If not, Radio Shack will have them. 42nd & Madison.
Check your pc for a tiny slot that say either "firewire" or IEEE 1394. If you don't have one, you need the card.

Posted by: Alceste at August 31, 2004 11:39 AMThere's an Apple store not too far from where you are right now.
Help is on the way. ;-)
