Yet another technological question.
Anyone know anything about uploading big video files, or if there is a site that condenses them or hosts them or something. I've got something good to show y'all (though my really good one-question interview with Al Franken somehow got deleted) but when I try to upload it, the message reads 'the file is too large'.

And there's a site "http://www.onfuego.com/" that specifically designed for posting movies. Eventually it will become a pay site (for people posting their videos), but for now it's free.

Your web host likely has bandwith limitations (like 1-2 GB/month or something). If 10 people download a 10 MB Video, you're probably going to go bust. Don't keep it on your site.
Posted by: Sean at August 31, 2004 03:57 PMOn the other hand, you've got lots of friends out here who are more than happy to host the movie for you. I went through that this morning. (Thirteen thousand people have downloaded a 1 MB movie from my site between midnight and right now.)
Drop me an email if you'd like to spread out the hosting duties a little bit.
