Still loving Herman Cain

I went to a Club for Growth reception for Zell Miller yesterday and Zell used a lot of his time on stage to introduce my hero, Herman Cain. Click here for the video, you could hear me 'woooo' in the background from time to time. For those new to this page, I worked on the Herman Cain campaign down in Georgia and am not quite over his loss.

UPDATE: I was informed by the Club that I had to remove the video. My apologies to those that visited to view it.

I'm pissed - I wanted to see Herman Cain for myself as I'd heard a bit about him and it was good. Also since the Dems and the press are attacking Zell as some kind of segregationist, I wanted to see with my own eyes the man whom Zell loves so much. Club for Grownth is very annoying and having given them a bit of dough, I'm even more put out. Are you fellows Dogs in the Manger? I guess!

Y'all should take a look at the candidates' websites. I think the links are down there somewhere in this forward. I personally like the Buckley guy, but like the forward says he doesn't have a chance of winning. God Bless!

Fellow Georgians -

I'm writing you as a concerned Christian and Georgian. As I am sure you are well aware, the upcoming election is very important. We are making a choice about a president that will shape our future. But there are other important races in Georgia. One in particular interest to Christians is that of Senator. There are three candidates running for the seat to replace outgoing Senator Zell Miller (D). They are Denise Majette (D), Johnny Isakson (R), and Allen Buckley (I).

Denise Majette claims to be a Christian, but has voted repeatedly to allow abortions in our nation. How can someone be a Christian and allow unborn children to be murdered? Suprisngly, the same is true for Johnny Isakson. He claims to hold Christian morals, but he himself has voted to allow abortions! This is a man who used to be a Democrat, but changed parties to try and further his political career. Have his views on issues really changed or just his rhetoric? Both these candidates' voting records can easily be found by doing a search on the internet. The third candidate, Allen Buckley, is (according to his website) against "government intervention" to prevent abortions, but he is also against government funding (something Majette and Isakson have failed to do in their time in Congress). Unfortunately, Mr. Buckley doesn't have a voting record for us to evaluate.

It is sad that there isn't a candidate who truly holds Christian values. Why is that? We live in a state in which most people hold conservative, Christian values. Isn't it only fair that we have a candidate who will support those values in Congress? We should demand that Majette or Isakson publicly apoligize for their past votes. Let them come clean to Georgians on their voting record!

Until that happens, I won't be voting for Denise Majette or Johnny Isakson. I know that Allen Buckley doesn't have any chance to win, so I won't waste my vote on him either?

I, for one, will be protesting our lack of representation on November 2nd. I urge other Christians in Georgia to do the same.

I will not vote for a candidate who refuses to support the innocent unborn. I also won't vote for a candidate who is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I also won't vote for a candidate who can't even take a stand for one side or the other.

Georgians deserve better. We deserve a candidate who will defend our children, who will defend our values, who will defend us against the attack from the far left. Please add comments and forward this letter to anyone and everyone you know in our great state! Let our voice be heard! Let the discrpency in votes be our message that we deserve represenation!

Whomever wins in November, will not represent me or my family. We will go unrepresented in the Senate until we have a candidate to stand behind and to be proud of! I will cast my ballot for President Bush, a man who lives up to what he says. Johnny Isakson may well win in November, but when he sees the difference in votes for President Bush and himself, maybe it will serve as a wake up call.

Send this on to your fellow Georgians, so that they too can learn about what their candidates truly believe! There are only a few months before the election, so send it to as many people as you can!!!

In Christ,

B.M.L.

Dueteronomy 30:19 "I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life..."

Exodus 23:7 "…do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty."

1 Timothy 6:20-21 "Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing idea of what is falsely called knowledge, ... which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith…"

1 Cornthians 3:16-17 "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple."
