Bring me back a beer!
Good luck to you and Pete. Georgia's loss is Colorado's gain.
Posted by: Gib at September 27, 2004 01:31 PMYou said Thursday. Liar. Apologize.
Posted by: Dawn Summers at September 27, 2004 01:44 PMyay! You better e-mail me or somethin' once you get here. :-) Can you tell me which office you're going to be based out of?
Posted by: bond girl at September 27, 2004 01:48 PMCongrats. And when you get John Elway to endorse Coors (heck, he's already in the man's commercials), be sure to tell him I forgive him for not beating Dallas in Superbowl 13.
Or whichever one it was. I don't fact-check on my own site, I'm sure the hell not going to fact-check in the comments of yours.
Awesome news.
Posted by: ace at September 27, 2004 01:53 PMCongrats baby! You'll be missed.
Posted by: Lisa at September 27, 2004 01:55 PMhave fun but try to retain some taste for good beer. and if you love coors now or come back loving it we are going to have to have a talk over three baltikas and a hoegaarten.
Posted by: candace at September 27, 2004 02:08 PMWell, now that everything is all official, I have some information that maybe of use to you, Karol.
While in Colorado, you may become privy of the local culture. Part of the local culture of Colorado is Texan-bashing. I don't know exactly what they say, but it isn't very flattering and it's all lies. Filthy lies. You just tell 'em that you've met a Texan or two and they're the most charming people anywhere. :)
Other than that, have fun, good luck, and while the beer may be free, it ain't no Shiner Bock.
Posted by: Shawn at September 27, 2004 02:11 PMOh Sweetie
So happy for you - so sad for me and the rest of the gang. I'll miss you terribly but you're going to be amazing!! I love you and come back super soon!!
Posted by: Ari at September 27, 2004 03:03 PMi hope you get to see beautiful places, mountains and whatnot. make pictures and post 'em!
Posted by: Ivan Lenin at September 27, 2004 03:15 PMCongratulations! I'll start drinking Coors beer now. Actually, I'll sprinkle it on my fries, for a double whammy.
Posted by: Yaron at September 27, 2004 03:32 PMYou people pour beer on your fries instead of ketchup? That must explain this voting for Bush thing...
Posted by: Dawn Summers at September 27, 2004 04:01 PMCongradulations!
Posted by: Dorian at September 27, 2004 05:14 PMCongrats!
One word of advice: avoid the CU football player parties in Boulder.
Posted by: Drew at September 27, 2004 05:18 PMMazel tov! This is a big one; I'm counting on you.
While you're out there, see what you can do about defeating Amendment 36 (the splitting-the-electoral-vote intiative), which is ahead in the polls and in some people's estimation could be the whole ball game.
Posted by: Mike at September 27, 2004 06:57 PMRock on K, take it easy until you get used to the altitude - see if Pete has anything to do w/film and/or producing films!
Win the election. You're the best. A killer! They'll fall at your feet!
Ren
FYI - I am wearing a Mao T-shirt whilst I right this.
Posted by: Ren at September 27, 2004 11:07 PMEmail me when you get here!
Posted by: Jeff G at September 28, 2004 01:23 AMCongrats! Why is John Denver singing in my head right now? Enjoy Colorado it is a fabulous state.
Posted by: MichaelC at September 28, 2004 09:07 AMCongratulations, Karol! Win one for the Gipper!
Posted by: Michael Bates at September 28, 2004 09:59 AMWhat made you decide to work for Pete Coors?
Was his efforts to enshrine homophobic Jim Crow-ism in the US Constitution?
His desire to legalize machine guns and allow convicted wife beaters to buy guns?
Or just because he wants to lower the drinking age back to eighteen?
Posted by: Don Myers at September 28, 2004 11:58 AMGood luck and enjoy. Colorado is splendid in October.
Posted by: Joseph Marshall at September 28, 2004 12:18 PMGee, Don, from such statements as those, one can only infer that Karol has joined the nefarious forces of the Coors campaign in order to continue their sinister plot to enslave humanity and blot out the sun so that they and their belly-crawling brethren can rule for an eternity.
Sheesh.
Posted by: Shawn at September 28, 2004 02:21 PMShawn:
I have no idea why Karol has joined the nefarious forces of the Coors campaign, which is why I asked. You're poorly-written hyperbole aside, Mr. Coors is on the record as being in favor of all the things I've listed. I just wondered if Karol was attracted to those troglodyte positions, or if there was some other reason.
Karol?
Posted by: Don Myers at September 29, 2004 08:03 AMYou mean you actually took what I wrote seriously?????? I admire your passion for trying to assail conservative positions, but that was totally tongue-in-cheek.
