I wonder if everyone else will make this same joke.

Cheney wins. Bigtime.

UPDATE: It's been confirmed. Cheney won. Dawn Summers answered her phone saying 'I hate you a lot'.

I see Rev. Jesse Jackson attended tonight's debate.

I don't know why you assume it had to do with the debate. Dawn probably just has caller ID.

Bush, make a note: copy Cheney.

Intriguing...I am watching it on tape now and took a break at the transition from foreign to domestic. So far, I'd call it a draw, a lot of preaching to the choir, hard to tell how undecideds (who are the only ones that matter) will take things.

One thing is for sure, Cheney is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more effective than Bush...though part of this is strategy. I expected to hear all of this from George during his debate, just less focused and clear. Don't know what they were thinking, unless Bush is just that bad.

Also, Edwards is less impressive (speaking/debating wise) than I expected from an experienced trial attorney.

On pure debating points analysis, I would give the edge to Cheney, his answers are more clear and pointed, but they both have landed body blows on each other.

Overall, I think Dick Cheney did very well. But had stiffer body language than John Edwards.

I think Sullivan was looking more at style than what they actually said and there are other people who think Edwards won like politicalwire. I still have no idea why Cheney wants me to go to a George Soros site.

Personally, I am dumber for having watched the debate. It was just a total attack fest which is why it does not suprise me that ABC polled and had Cheney winning and CBS had Edwards winning. In an attack fest of course everyone thinks their candidates won. Who lost ? The USA for having to put up with this crap and the founding fathers for having their gift to be us be so warped.

Who cares if Cheney won ? Who cares if Edwards won ? Bentsen mopped the floor with Quayle in 88 and Quayle actually beat Gore in 92. The VP candidate debate may be the most useless part of this never ending campaign.

I'd swear Cheney was still in Congress... He went HOUSE on Edwards.
