I can't stop staring at this picture
Viktor Yushchenko in 'before' and 'after' pics. He is suffering from a mystery ailment. He says he is being poisoned by his opposition. His enemies say he's just had some bad sushi.
That's some seriously bad sushi.

Radiation poisoning.
Posted by: Joe R. the Unabrewer at November 28, 2004 02:55 AMMaybe suffering from "28 Days Later" style Monkey Rage? He has been Zombified!!
A large group of Ukrainians protested infront of the Russian Consulate in NYC which just happens to be across the street from the Police Station I work at. It was a well organized protest but they failed to tell the city about it and get a permit. I had to close off the street to car traffic, eventually we got the protestors on the sidewalk and they were allowed to have their protest.
"Putin Terrorist!!" and "Democracy Ukraine" were some of their chants. I learned that Whistling equals booing. Which they did everytime a Russian walked out of the building.
Then they decided to March to the UN. They got a police escort.
I'm not gay, but damn, that guy was handsome.
Now, it seems to me he probably enjoyed being handsome. A lot.
If I were the ruling party, I'd be really, really worried at this point about him becoming President.
Because if someone made that kind of before and after out of me, I'd be looking for some real payback.
Extreme payback.
Posted by: ace at November 28, 2004 05:11 AMOT but everyone in New York should put on channel 11 right now. And leave it on until 5pm.
Posted by: Radical Redneck at November 28, 2004 11:34 AMWow, it's hard to believe that's even the same man. Bad sushi indeed? The poisoning theory is certainly more convincing than the one that Arafat was poisoned...
But again, wow.
Posted by: Shannon at November 28, 2004 12:21 PMThe picture on the right makes Michael Moore look like a hottie....
Posted by: Downtown Lad at November 28, 2004 01:24 PMWow. This is why I need to diversify my news-reading away from text versions of everything. No written summary of that change could do it justice.
Posted by: candy girl at November 28, 2004 03:50 PMThat is very disturbing. Definitely reeks of sabotage...
Posted by: Anthony at November 29, 2004 12:05 AMYes he looks very unhappy. What a price to pay for helping the greater good.
Posted by: Bobby at November 30, 2004 02:33 PMThe Russians used radioactive thallium to poison defectors and dissidents in the 1950s. By now they may have better poisons ... plus, the guy lives in Ukraine, which got slightly dusted by Chernobyl, so radiation poisoning isn't so implausible the Russians can't suggest it.
