Time Online
Time Magazine is on an internet roll this month. Fresh from naming Powerline 'blog of the year', Time has now put its entire database of articles and covers online.
It also lets you search for your birthday cover. This is mine:

Mine is about Hitler's diaries being fraudulent. Whoopee.
Posted by: candy girl at December 22, 2004 12:43 AMI got Dag Hammarskjold, onetime UN Gen. Sec, along with a story of the Congo (Zaire/Dem. Repub. of the Congo). Interstingly, he died some years later while visiting the area. Even more interesting to me is the coincidence that I eventually lived in Zaire for a few years as a young child.
Nearly as interesting is the ability to search each issue. Did you know that the death of shoe designer Ferragamo was reported in my birth issue? Don't care, either. Probably.
Posted by: Pigilito at December 22, 2004 04:15 AMEither cover for me says I was born under a bland sign ~ I am "Speaker Carl Albert" with a ribbon declaring "New Congress vs. Nixon". Didn't care for the malaise that this suggested, I pushed the cover back to New Year's (born in late January).
This is going to be good - New Year's! Wow, wrong prediction Nostradamus. My second tier cover is "The U.S. Family: Help!" with a ribbon saying "Poland erupts". Woopee.
At least give me something for my birthday, Time!!
;)
Ok, I should be happy with the rise of Polish democracy. It's not like everyone's Time cover is going to be the second coming.
