Proud moments in punk rock.
Green Day debate if to burn flag during a photo shoot. Decide not to because it's illegal. Except that, of course, it's not illegal.

That would make them American idiots.

Posted by: Sean at December 28, 2004 10:54 AMWho care? Green Day rocks. Best concert I've ever seen in my entire life, and I've been to hundreds.
And their new CD is excellent.

Guys, sunstitute the word house for the word flag in that sentence.
I assure you that unless they were planning to shove Old Glory in a regulated fireplace, their act would indeed have been illegal. Just like setting christmas decorations oon fire or a stack of newspapers. unless you have a permit, safety precautions and fire department -- random burning is way against the law, and their are no exceptions if you happen to be burning the flag.

Posted by: Dawn Summers at December 28, 2004 01:29 PMIn one of the "songs" on the new CD (as usual, they all pretty much sound alike), one line includes the phrase, "...redneck agenda.." Can we call this hate speech? Stereotyping? Oh, that's right, it OK to be intolerant towards anything "non-liberal"!
Posted by: Easy E at December 29, 2004 12:13 PMIf you think all the songs sound the same then you havent heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams or Good Riddance Time of your life from the album Nimrod.
