Hi, I'm Richard Gere and "I'm speaking for the entire world." Ughh, this idiot once admitted to Yale New Haven Hospital with a rectal rodent is speaking for the entire world? How much do you think he liked saying that line. He joked about it with his agent, don't you think? "Step away from the camera and put the Gere away"

Tobes! I'm surprised at you! I think the rodent story has been completely debunked, and regardless of what I think of Gere, I don't think he ever had anything like that happen to him.

But, yes, the 'I speak for the entire world' comment is so cringe-worthy.

maybe he mistook them for tibetans?

He was living in my town when it happened. I had a friend who was a nurse at the time! Gerbils I tell you, or hamsters. I forget which one. Apparently, though, they're still in there now controlling him. It is the only explaination. I love the comment from the soap factory worker.

The Gere/gerbil incident has been debunked. It was more of a misquote about his hairstyle and his head up his ass "...so far, it had to be extracted at the hospital".

Advice for One Voice: celebrity political promotion can be helpful (debatable whether it is a "good" thing - although any help is lovely)... but only if you choose someone your people know and care about. ;)

"Cringe-worthy" heh
How about "Repeated-blows-about-the-arms-and-upper-body worthy"?

Gere is rapidly approaching King Dolt status.

When I was a student at NYU, I heard rumors that Richard Gered lived somewhere on East 10th Street, and that he would frequently relieve himself on the street.
