I hear Alan Keyes has an apartment for rent ... (rimshot).

I will be there. "Spungin" off by BF.

Pat and I are going. We'll drive down Wednesday evening and stay with my uncle in Virginia (approximately 30 minutes away) until Sunday, I think. We should get together while down there. I'll email you our contact info.

Claudio, awesome, we'll hang out in my hotel room and play Illmatic on my ipod.

V, where are you guys staying?

Posted by: Karol at February 10, 2005 12:13 PM

The cheaper hotel. Freemont, maybe? He's coming on Wed, I am coming Fri night.

I want to go, but can't. :-(

In other news, one of the most liberal college campuses has a College Republicans club!

Sadly I will not make it, Had digs to stay with a friend on the hill, but alas work and lack of blogging credentials sidelined my trip.

I'll be there Thursday night. The ignorance will be oozing!

Ace and I were planning to head down together but we hadn't figured out a mode of transport yet. Maybe we'll take you guys up on that ride.

Posted by: Karol at February 10, 2005 03:17 PM

this seemed like a cool event. what usually goes on?

Posted by: anna at February 10, 2005 03:38 PM

I went last year and it was a really fun time. It's speakers and booths during the day, and parties at night.

In other words, your usual VRWC Black Mass. ;)

Or perhaps Vanessa's boyfriend will be sponging her off...

Hotel Harrington- 3 blocks away.

I'm staying at the Hotel Harrington. I plan to leave on Wednesday. Anyone got a ride?

Posted by: RonL at February 11, 2005 02:39 AM

sounds like a good time. i'll have to see if i can get a couple days off work.

Posted by: anna at February 11, 2005 11:49 AM

I say we get a Hip-Hop, Poker, and Conservatism party going. Karol can bring the hip-hop, I can bring the cards, and everyone else can bring alcohol and a reverences for the permanent things.

Karol, in your opinion, should I be looking for a hotel close to the convention or more in DC?

Posted by: ace at February 11, 2005 04:40 PM

We'll discuss on email but I would say convention. It starts early each day, you don't want to trek across town to get there.

Posted by: Karol at February 11, 2005 06:06 PM

Ron I'm driving down but can't leave until Thurs AM.

Let me know if that helps.

You want real fireworks at CPAC, poke around the College Republican parties which will be plentiful this year because national elections are this year. It will be sheer insanity, let me put it this way. Karl Rove said the shadiest stuff he ever did in campaigns was during CRNC elections... welcome to the mayhem
