Speaking Of Maureen Dowd (By Guest Blogger Jessica)

Gregory Bullock disagrees with her. Here's a taste.

In her Op-Ed of February 10, 2005, "Condi's French Twist," Ms. Dowd gloats because the United States' new chief diplomat Condoleezza Rice would not make herself available to students at the "elite" Institute of Political Sciences in Paris for a tete-a-tete nonpareil. Ms. Dowd reports that the caliber of questioning would have been along these lines: "George Bush is not particularly well perceived in the world, particularly in the Middle East. Can you do something to change that?" The democratization of Afghanistan and Iraq and the burgeoning entente between Israel and the Palestinians apparently have not yet made Le Monde.

"Ms Dowd reports that the caliber...."
Er, no Gregory, Ms Dowd speculates would be the more accurate description.
Infinately worse than her article is the fact that there is some sad freak running a web site with the sole purpose of Dowd rebuttel.
No one has really heard of her this side of the Atlantic. Fill me in. Is she sitting poised on top of a large power base, ready to overthrow Bush at a moments notice ? Does Mr Bollocks really think that her liberal readership will click on to his site and repent ? Hope that he finds it worthwhile on a personal level.

It's true. I wonder why more people don't just disregard people who they think are idiots instead of devoting so much energy to them. I was surprised to find this site on gawker.com, a pretty liberal ny based blog.
