A non-snarky movie recommendation
If you've yet to see 'Sin City', I highly recommend you do. I was going to joke that the NY Times will likely hate the movie because it has the traditional cinematic layout, men as heroes and women in need of saving, but figured I'd find and read the review to confirm my suspicion that that would be their take. And yes, gender roles definitely make an appearance in their review, along with a mention about the lack of career choices for the women of Sin City, but the reviewer seemed to like the movie and appreciate it as I had. See it.

The New York Times reducing themselves to petty arguing about feminism and gender roles instead of commenting on the actual cinematic merits of a film? Nah... Unless of course it has graphic gay male nudity and no plot. Why then, by jove, it's art.
Sin City is the best new movie I have seen all year.
