So wrong, so often

Tim Blair has a round-up of wrong predictions (and a great 'Economist' cover) on the fates of the leaders that supported the war in Iraq. The only one to have taken a tumble has been Jose Maria Aznar of Spain. However, in addition to the fact that Spain let the terrorists choose their next leader, he wasn't even the candidate standing in that election, so I'm not sure that even counts.

so much for 'world opinion' being against the u.s led war. there are probably more people living here who (say they) hate america than there are in the rest of the world.

Worl opinion IS against the US Led war.
Blair may well have won the election but his party lost 100 seatsand the reason for this is Iraq. There is no political commentator in this country that does not agree with that.

In addition within a year Blair will be gone. His party does not want him and that is due to his lack of credibility. The lack of credibility is again due to iraq.

They seem to have forgotten Sylvio Berlusconi, another one who was supposed to be damaged goods. What people say in public and to their social circle is one thing. How they vote at the polls are another. Ever hear the comment by lefties that they don't know anyone who voted for Bush? They probably do, they just weren't told honestly by their friends who they voted for. Elections are the only poll that counts and rightly so.

Labour did not lose 100 seats, its overall majority was reduced by 100 seats - so it lost about 50 seats.
