Bill Buckley came out against dope laws in the 70s and the magazine has adhered to this position ever since.
Posted by: bobm at May 11, 2005 07:03 PMYeah, I think that's a fair conservative position. Do what you want to yourself, but sell to kids and we hang you.
I can back that.
Posted by: Jay at May 12, 2005 01:10 AMI've long had a hard time dealing with Buckley's position - I mean, who can out-think HIM?? I don't agree, but don't ask me to task him point-by-point on the issue.
Posted by: carin at May 12, 2005 03:45 PMI met someone who works for NR at the YR thing at 53rd St last week.
He seemed like a pothead. Or at least someone who feels that he needs to smoke to calm down ;)
Posted by: kat at May 12, 2005 05:03 PMWriter: "Lappie, cellie, RIM, pager, bag o'... ready!"
Editor: "California... again? Come back with a story this time."
Writer: "Dood, don't stress me. You're killing my buzz with this work talk."
NR - brought to you by Auntie Em's Hash Brownies, and 2 for 1 Pizza.
