Kos is as big an idiot* as he seems.
You really don't know how nasty Kos is, how rude and angry until you see him live. He's on a panel with Hugh Hewitt and just said 'we won't let diarists on Kos regurgitate RNC's talking points, we have Hugh Hewitt for that'. Seriously, grow up.
*I use 'idiot' because this is a family blog. I feel like using much stronger language.

"Big"
Posted by: Not Dawn Summers at May 16, 2005 12:40 PMYou can't expect diarists on Kos to regurgitate RNC talking points. Their plate is full with regurgitating DNC talking points.
Posted by: Shawn at May 16, 2005 12:46 PMAw, "screw em."
Wait - I'm not Kos so I probably can't get way with talking like that.
Posted by: Jim Durbin at May 16, 2005 01:27 PM
They aren't exactly DNC talking points, Shawn. A lot of what is on Kos would be denied by any Democrat actually running for office.
Posted by: ugarte at May 16, 2005 02:00 PMA lot of what is on Kos would be denied by any Democrat actually running for office.
Good call.
Posted by: Shawn at May 16, 2005 02:08 PMKos is a prick, yes. But when has Hewitt ever done anything BUT regurgitate RNC talking points?
Posted by: Steve at May 16, 2005 03:08 PMYeah, sorry Kar, but Hewitt was the only man on the face of the planet that tried to claim with a straight face that Bush won that first debate with Kerry.
Posted by: Not Dawn Summers at May 16, 2005 04:49 PMYes Dawn, I remember that. I remember asking at the time, "what would have to happen for Hewitt to say Kerry won the debate? Bush slipping and cracking his head open on the podium?"
Posted by: Steve at May 16, 2005 05:35 PMI remember that. I remember asking at the time, "what would have to happen for Hewitt to say Kerry won the debate? Bush slipping and cracking his head open on the podium?"
Actually, then Bush would've won. Sympathy vote, you know.
I just think Kos was rude. The implication is that Kos is some kind of thinker while Hewitt is brainwashed. I get that shit all the time. Kos wouldn't have gotten as nice a response from me (see Ferrari, Signor calling me a hack not so long ago).
Posted by: Karol at May 16, 2005 05:55 PMI think it's a funny comment. Hugh has the most boring blog in the blogosphere.
Unless you like to read RNC talking points...
Posted by: Downtown Lad at May 16, 2005 05:59 PMSo in your world, Karol, it is better to BE a brainwashed hack than to CALL someone a brainwashed hack.
Interesting set of priorities ya got there.
Posted by: Don Myers at May 16, 2005 06:02 PMHow come we never get the benefit of the doubt? Maybe we're the ones doing the brainwashing! We can't all be taking orders from Karl Rove, can we? I mean, I got my chip implanted but I don't think everyone has yet.
Posted by: Karol at May 16, 2005 06:04 PMHmmm. I have been blacking out over the past couple of weeks. Can't tell if it's an official RNC neurochip or those weird waves that come out of the TV whenever it's on Fox News, though.
Posted by: Shawn at May 16, 2005 06:21 PMHow about I use the strong language you refer to?
Or I can put it on my blog and you can link to it =D
I'm in a weird mood today.
Posted by: kat at May 16, 2005 10:37 PMWell, if Kos was polite, would you even know who he was.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg at May 17, 2005 12:13 PM2nd that: Hugh Hewitt has the most boring blog on the plant, and I think that comment in particular by Kos is sort of funny.
That being said, he's an asshole for sure
Posted by: Joseph Weisenthal at May 17, 2005 04:33 PMOne major difference between them is comments: Kos has them, Hewitt doesn't. That allows Kos the man to make the softball pitch of the thing he doesn't want to quite come out and say, and then let his minions whack it to its absurdist conclusion. Like here:
http://vernondent.blogspot.com/2005/05/moonbattery.html
Comments are essential to a blog, but it disturbs me that they either become a steel cage arena ("You suck!" "No, YOU suck!") or else a hyperventilation room of extremists that ends up as self-parody. That's as true of LGF as it is of Kos.
Someone like Kos then can say, "I didn't say that; someone else said it on my site." But don't you have the responsibility to speak up when the people in your room start talking complete scary nonsense?
Posted by: Callimachus at May 17, 2005 08:15 PMDon Myers spit out, So in your world, Karol, it is better to BE a brainwashed hack than to CALL someone a brainwashed hack.
Interesting set of priorities ya got there.
No. She didn't say that nor insinuate it. That was just your moonbat filter talking Don.
