Be there
Peter and Mike's monthly party, The Archives Listening Project is happening this Wednesday at 9pm at 12", 179 Essex St, just below Houston. This week they'll be playing The Grey Album, a DJ Danger Mouse mash-up of the Beatles' White Album and Jay Z's Black Album.

DJ Danger Mouse and those that hosted his album for download got sued by Sony and EMI over this release. When he got sued, Stay Free!'s Illegal Art project was among those that put a downloadable version online. Thanks to the work of - among others - EFF, the album is still available. You can read about the history and download a copy for yourself here.

Kat, hope you can make it!
Posted by: Karol at May 24, 2005 12:55 AMI keep saying that I am going to come to one of the ALP shows, but there is always something else on the day of. I would come, but tomorrow is a monthly poker night scheduled specifically to accomodate my lifestyle.
Posted by: ugarte at May 24, 2005 12:48 PMAs of right now, it looks like I'll make it.
I'll just tape American Idol.
Is there a cover charge?
Posted by: kat at May 24, 2005 01:04 PMIt's free (and better than American Idol).
