Welcome Back!

Harry Siegel, of the blog New Partisan, is taking over my beloved New York Press. I love him already:

Mr. Siegel said that to a degree he is taking the paper back in time. "Under Russ Smith, the paper represented a more credible, serious, and ideologically open alternative to the Voice, and I'd like to see it again that way," he said, with a thick Brooklyn accent.

I just read about this too and maybe I'll start reading it again. The last two editors were simply awful.

Yeah, well, he's got a lot of work to do after his pissy, mean-spirited and crappy review of Jonathan Safran Foer's book earlier this year.

The NYPress has SO sucked that I thought it was going down the drain, and the VoICE is insufferable. So this cannot be a change for the worse.
