Music makes everything better
My day so far: I woke up to the sound of pouring rain. No, I did not mean to reference Skid Row right there. When I got downstairs, I realized I forgot my umbrella. I went back and got it but Peter, with whom I was going to take the train, couldn’t wait so I was on my own. Thankfully, I ran into Bunni who was also taking the 6 train downtown. We waited for the train for about 35 minutes before giving up and getting on the 4-5 express, inconvenient for us both. I then had to walk 8 street blocks and 5 avenue blocks to my destination. Sweaty, hair frizzed out, with wet toes and really annoyed at the world, I put on my ipod. And while everything else went wrong this morning, my music could not be more perfect. Should you find yourself miserable, wet and angry in NY, I suggest the following soundtrack, picked totally at random by my ipod but completely in sync with my mood:
1. New York, New York- The Game
2. Walking After Midnight- Patsy Cline
3. Waiting for the man- Velvet Underground
4. Alabama Song- The Doors
5. Anything Goes- GNR
6. Ether- Nas
7. Big Things- Nas
8. New #1- Bob Mould
9. Soul Survivor- Young Jeezy

Everything always works out for you. I left my headphones at work.
