Is it too much to hope we are not sending one dime in aid to Pakistan?

I believe they also rejected aid from Israel.

This morning's Financial Times had a photo of food and supplies being parachuted by US planes into the affected areas.

Believe it or not, Pakistan did accept Israel's offer (per same publication as above). However, they said it would likely be through a third party. And I would imagine it'll be financial in nature.

But really, did anyone (I mean outside of the fairy-tale West Wing-watching, UN-worshipping set) believe a simple natural disaster would make either of these countries have a sudden fit of sanity?
