Well, the guy with a job probably finds it easy to be gracious. The guy who lost his might just be a little bitter.

Or the guy who lost his job now has no reason to have even a facade of civility.

Yeah but really, if Bush had lost, can you see him being an ass? No matter how much people hate him, they can't say that he'd be nasty or bitter.

Yeah, I distinctly remember people booing Bill Clinton's name during Bob Dole's concession speech, and he silenced them by saying, "He is my opponent, not my enemy."

Bush is still boycotting NAACP events, because he's pissed about them from the 2000 election. I think that shows no class. He's the first President since the 1920's to never attend their event. He always says he has scheduling conflicts even though he gets an invite a year in advance.

I suspect that the referals Schroeder made towards Bush's US could be claimed to have been earned.

One should not forget such comments made against Germany when their government spoke out against the invasion of Iraq. Nor should one forget that Germany offered material assistance to New Orleans before the US government did.

Personally I feel that Schroeder has a good deal more *class* than Bush in many ways; at least he stands up for his principles and does not hide behind claims that other people are at fault for things he should ultimately be responsible for.
