Conversation with my brother
Me: ...And you'll have to pick me up because of the strike. You know there's a strike, right?
R: (dripping sarcasm)No. What strike?(/dripping sarcasm)
Me: Ok, I don't know. You drive everywhere. So have you ever experienced a strike before?
R: No, have you?
Me: Yes, two times. Once in Turkey for a taxi strike and once in France, a railway strike.
R: Oh.
Me: Oh! And when I was a kid our neighbor went on strike while working for Pan Am.
R: Yeah, and look at Pan Am now.
