'What are you benching, buff guy?'

Drudge is reporting that Jack Abramoff gave an interview to Vanity Fair in which he described his meeting with president Bush. AP is running a story on the upcoming article with the headline:

Vanity Fair: Bush Had Ties to Abramoff

What kind of ties? It's all very damning. Apparently, Bush once remarked to Abramoff 'What are you benching, buff guy?' I don't know about you all, but I smell impeachment over this. Me? I want that on a t-shirt.

Its too bad. If Bush had said "big guy" instead "buff guy", he could have avoided impeachment.

Yeah, as inconsequential as the campaign jet and seat in the west wing that once belonged to "Kenny Boy." It's amazing. Al Gore can wear the wrong sweater or Kerry can get on a kite-surfer and it's a HUGE blunder of strategy. Yet, ties between this administration and those guilty of fraud and bribery are treated as "so what?" by the loyal. How far does that reach? Is it, "they killed a little baby. So what! It's for the cause." ??

Tobes, have you been working out? What are you benching, buff guy?

"Buff guy." Male cheerleader at a prep school. Move over James Buchanan. We have another gay man in the White House. Oh yeah.
