because that's what they do to people's families.

dude, if you wanna play roulette, go play roulette -- you wanna be a terrorist, go be a terrorist; but if you think it makes you any less a filthy disgusting subhuman monster because "they started it," you're wrong.

Making sure you keep your title of Crowned Princess of Outlaw Conservatism!are you? Lol!

The thing that sucks about suicide bombers is that you can't, you know, kill them.

But sometimes the only way to win your money back is to go play blackjack. And if you lose just a little more, so what?

I just feel like we've run out of options. We have to take this to whatever the next level is. We need to start killing them before they become suicide bombers. It's just too late for anything else.

Bulldoze their parent's homes??

Because usually, their families didn't send them there, so the effort wouldn't do much to stop it. Most of the suicide bombers in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia. They were sent there by the Saudi government, and by Islamist groups financed by wealthy Saudis.

The financing of these terrorist groups is usually managed by Saudi graduates of prestitgious London schools, like the London school of economics. They're not hard to trace. Wealthy Saudis are fat, easy targets all around Europe. In many areas of London and Switzerland you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a wealthy Saud. With an organized effort, the organization that runs these operations could be decimated in a day.

You know, if it wasn't against the law and everything..

Mary,
upon what evidence do you claim that most of the suicide bombers in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia? What percentages?

Posted by: bryan at March 15, 2006 10:46 PM

From the Washington post article, Martyrs' In Iraq Mostly Saudis

"The account of Qahtani's death, like many other individual entries on the Web sites, cannot be verified. But independent experts and former government terrorism analysts who monitor the sites believe they are genuine mouthpieces for the al Qaeda-affiliated radicals who have made Iraq "a melting pot for jihadists from around the world, a training group and an indoctrination center," as a recent State Department report put it. The sites hail death in Iraq as the inspiration for a new generation of terrorists in much the same way that Afghanistan attracted Muslims eager to fight against the Soviet Union in the 1980s."

"Who are the suicide bombers of Iraq? By the radicals' account, they are an internationalist brigade of Arabs, with the largest share in the online lists from Saudi Arabia and a significant minority from other countries on Iraq's borders, such as Syria and Kuwait."

As we can see, our allies in Kuwait totally appreciate everything we've done for them.

The Saudi government is involved in efforts to encourge these attacks. Sheik Saleh Al Luhaidan, chief justice of Saudi Arabia's Supreme Judicial Council was caught on tape encouraging Saudis
to fight in Iraq. Other Saudis are recruited through CD's that are sold on every newsstand. The Saudi government, which can stop any form of the Bible from being sold in the country, is somehow unable to stop the sale of these CDs.

That's quite worrying, Mary, but I'm not sure whether it backs up the claims you made, both about the majority of suicide bombers being Saudi Arabian, and that European-based muslims are masterminding the whole thing. Of course, you may well have other links to support the second one, and I didn't ask for any before (sorry, I did, mean to).
The support (by the UN, not just the US or a coalition of the willing), also came about because of the huge kuwaiti involvement in businesses throughout Europe. For example, the (ruling, non-democratic)Al-Sabah family owned 15% of BMW. There was no way that this sort of cash could be withdrarn from any economies without huge economic shockwaves occurring. Added to this the appearance before congress of a 'witness' to babies being thrown out of incubators, who turned out to be one of the Al-Sabah family based in the USA.
I do believe there is a huge amount Saudi could do to help stop terrorism world-wide, but why should they? They have their hands on the OPEC spigot, and will turn it off or down if anyone pisses them off.

No they won't. They haven't had that kind of control over oil prices/supply for years. There are too many competitors and their economy is too dependent on oil income. Most experts also believe that the primary source of their wealth is running out. Most of their public relations efforts are spent lately trying to convince the world that they're NOT running out of oil despite somewhat overwhelming evidence that they are.

There are all sorts of made-up reasons why we should be afraid of the Saudis:

- they're the leaders of the Islamic world (not true, most Muslims hate the Saudis),

they're fantastically wealthy (not true, Saudi Arabia's GDP ranks below Pakistan and Thailand)

- if they pulled their fantastic wealth out of our markets, our economy would collapse (see above)

The Saudis are the Beverly Hillbillies of the Middle East. The only people who respect them are westerners, especially the British and the US.

Does anyone alive seriously not get the distinction between aggression and retribution?
