A rock star feels he has more environmental 'credentials' than the leader of Britain
Yet another reason to hate Radiohead:
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke says he turned down the chance to discuss climate change with Tony Blair because the British prime minister has "no environmental credentials."Posted by Karol at March 21, 2006 04:48 PM | TrackBack

I chuckled and rolled my eyes at a musican questioning Blair's "credentials" to debate him on environmental policy. Perhaps they should agree to a celebrity death match with Michael Chrighton as the Referee
Posted by: toby at March 21, 2006 05:21 PMOh come on Karol, hating rock stars is so 2004.
Posted by: Ivan Lenin at March 21, 2006 07:39 PMBut hating Radiohead is always current for me.
Posted by: Karol at March 21, 2006 07:49 PMOT: Will you please link to what's happening in Belarus? I e-mailed you the link. I'm begging, please.
Posted by: Ivan Lenin at March 21, 2006 08:11 PMYES. Sorry, have meant to but have had minimal blogging time.
Posted by: Karol at March 21, 2006 08:12 PMIf memory serves Radiohbead were one of the bands involved in New Labour's Cool Brittania thing several years back. Blair and other New Labour people seen hanging out with Blur, U2 and Radiohead. All great until they started making use of it to discuss legislation and what could be done. At which point Blairs attitude became "you are musicians you shouldnt air opinions the same as every other tax payer"
Besides Karol you are being very harsh to Radiohead. Sure they write music that is so depressing you want to kill yourself and Creep is so bad you want to kill yourself AND Radiohead but they aren't all bad.
Posted by: Nick at March 22, 2006 04:00 AMWell, I'm not inviting Radiohead to talk to me. They have no music credentials. I remember seeing them in concert in 1996--they opened for Alanis.
Posted by: Jay at March 22, 2006 11:19 AMYorke should be reminded (excessively) that you gain instant rock cred, immortality and idolatry by pulling a Cobain, Joplin, Morrison, etc..
Do it Thommy, do it! Join the club!
