Damnit!
I hate missing an opportunity to congratulate myself, but this little blog turned 4 years old, a week ago today. Here is what I wrote on last year's blogiversary:
I remember when I first started blogging, I was jealous of other blogs' commenters. I had a bunch of trolls and I would frequently have to delete comments because they were just off-topic babbling. Now I have some of the best commenters around and y'all make me so happy when I check in to my site and see the discussions in progress. So, thanks.
I still feel that way. I know I've been sort of slacking lately, and I promise to get more bloggy soon. Part of the reason is that my job has me immersed in NY politics but with the caveat that I really can't write very much about it. My bosses are great about me having a blog but I want them to remain great about it so I steer clear of anything remotely related to my job and write more about Britney Spears and dating. But with the 2006 elections heating up, I should be back to a full dose of politics soon. I hope you'll stick around for the 5th year of Alarming News.

I've never liked a four-year-old this much.
