So I guess the post AC whopper juniors are out of the question.
Posted by: Lisa at June 22, 2006 09:28 AMIt would make more sense to limit the number of hours a TV station can broadcast in a day. Watching TV, not fast food, is the real cause of obesity
Posted by: Jake at June 22, 2006 10:21 AMI'm sure Rivera would love it if the city lost all its revenue from fast food places (what exactly is the definition of "fast food" anyway) and his salary was reduced accordingly.
Plus I am sure he didn't consider that many poor people eat fast food because it's cheaper than healthier food.
And liberals wonder why people hate them so much.
Here is a liberal proposal that makes sense - keep "healthy" foods affordable (let's say food stamps can only be used to buy foods that are lower in fat, calories, etc.)
Absurd, yes but far better than Rivera's plan.
Posted by: New York Hotlist at June 22, 2006 02:52 PMWhy not levy charges by weight? Going to the movies, you pay more if you're putting more weight on the seats!
The USA does confuse me: stick thin celebs and lardy-arsed population (in general).
