Random string of not such random thoughts*
*Blatantly stolen from Dawn's lazy blog.
-"I think we can all be millionaires by next year. The trade-off is that we'll be living somewhere similar to Mogadishu."-Pheeleepok on his impending move to the Detroit area.
-Why do my friends start looking for a house to rent 4 days out from a long weekend, especially when we have such specific requirements? Why?
-To those of you practicing class warfare in the Republican party: Do not smile at me when this is over, I will remember all of this. If I wanted to revel in the kind of mediocrity you promote, I would've been a Democrat. Discounting intellectualism and wealth is one thing, pointing and laughing at higher education and success is quite another. I'm ashamed for you.
-Peter's newly-married brother leaves for Iraq in July. If I don't remember to ask you all then, please pray for his safe return:

-Jessica (of the sadly defunct blog New Vintage) and Paul are hosting a trivia night tomorrow at La Negrita on Columbus Ave @ W 109 st at 8pm.

YOu are scary for such a sweet girl.
I'm not scary, just annoyed.
Posted by: Karol at June 27, 2006 01:22 PMYou know, considering all the gear and equipment they have to wear, you'd think the government would pick colder coutries to attack...what's going on in antartica? those penguins look a little suspicious...
Posted by: Not Dawn Summers at June 27, 2006 01:52 PMWell obviously Not Dawn never watched GI Joe in the 80s. You see Cobra would always have weapons shatter in three parts; one would end up in the desert, one would end up in an artic region and the third would always end up in a jungle or the bottom of the ocean. And now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
In all seriousness, I'll keep Peter's brother in my prayers.

Every day and twice on Sunday. :)

Last I heard, Detroit hadn't been taken over by Islamists. Dearborn, maybe, but not Detroit.
