Nothing I can say will bring you back from your backwards ways... so offer no rude comments... no suggestions... just my pity.
Posted by: Livoto at July 23, 2006 07:01 PMYes, far be it for the world to expect legitimate states to behave more humanely than terrorist organizations. If anything, they UN should be encouraging Israel to blow up lots and lots of pizzarias, just for the hell of it.
Posted by: Sam L. at July 23, 2006 09:05 PMDidn't Iraq get invaded for pulling off a fraction of this shit?
Posted by: bryan at July 24, 2006 01:50 AMJan Egeland, that's the same UN idiot who accused America of "stinginess" after the tsunami.
Mark Steyn had a brutal takedown of him here: "Egeland's full-time round-the-clock 24/7 Big Humanitarians are conspicuous by their all but total absence on the ground. [...] They've flown in (or nearby, or overhead) a couple of experts to assess the situation and they've issued press releases boasting about the assessments. In Sri Lanka, Egeland's staff informs us, "UNFPA is carrying out reproductive health assessments"."
Posted by: Yaron at July 24, 2006 09:12 AMEgeland: There is no military solution to these things, it is only a political solution.
I suppose the free nations of the world could/should/must unite and call for Hezbollah to stop hostilities, return the IDF soldiers and disband.
Be it politically or militarily, Hezbollah's back needs to be broken.
