What happened in Qana?

I hate conspiracy theories, but I trust Hezbollah and their fans in the media as far as I can throw them so I'm not sure what to make of all this.

People are blaming these deaths on Hezbollah or the Israelis while ignoring the parties that are 90% responsible for the slaughter.

These parties are the European and American MSM. The blood of women and children are on their hands and lips. They are the true murderers in this conflict. They are the essence of evil.

No one stages a propaganda event unless the media is willing to cover it the way the propagandist desires. If the media ignores the event or critically reports on the event, the events soon disappear.

Hezbollah treats human shields as propaganda events. It considers weapons hidden in schools, hospitals and apartments as propaganda events. They hope and pray that these events will result in the deaths of innocent people.

Without the cooperation, collusion and encouragement of Western media, Hezbollah would not have used human shields in conducting their warfare. They would not have expended the effort to cause these women and children to die. Western MSM caused these deaths and will cause many more before this conflict is resolved.

Ehh, I don't know, Jake. That's a little like blaming the Columbine tragedy on Marilyn Manson's music.

Not that I'm defending the media. In fact, I can't decide if they're just that stupid or that they do know, but don't care.

Either way, the media is a weapon in the arsenal of the terrorists.

There's definitely some truth to your remarks.

They don't make reporters like Ernie Pyle any longer, unfortunately.

Here's a thought; when a bombing campaign is directed at targets dispersed through civilian areas, it's quite likely that you'll blow up a fucking apartment building and kill a lot of people.

This is exactly what the Right did with those kids who got blown up in Gaza. Immediately imply that some terrorist did it, and by the time it comes out conclusively (http://hrw.org/english/docs/2006/06/13/isrlpa13544.htm)
that it actually was a result of Israel's bombing campaign, it barely makes the news. And you and Malkin certainly don't post about it.

Say what you will about the media, but don't call them worse than terrorists. Now you're just being an asshole.

Calling people assholes? Great argument. Especially when you direct that at the least asshole-of-a-man you'll ever meet. Disagree all you want but do so constructively - as you usually do. I thought better of you than that Silver.

Shame on you.

Steve:

They are worse than terrorists.

Hezbollah launches rockets in occupied neighborhoods because they hate Israelis. MSM assists the terrorists because they hate Israelis and they get paid for it.

90% responsble and worse than terrorists? Really? Either your moral compass has been twisted or destroyed by your paranoia and anger, or Steve is in the right here.

And without the media, Hezbollah would have gone out into the open? Sure, I bet Hezbollah would have gladly taken on one of the best-equipped militaries in the world in a fair fight but for the insidious reach of western media.

Blather on sir, blather on.

Hezbollah launches rockets in occupied neighborhoods

And all MSM does is report it. Yea, how dare they.
If you believe that writing about a murder is worse than committing a murder, than I'm sorry, there's something very wrong with you.
