I prefer peace than war. What is wrong with giving peace a chance?

Saturday morning here (and in Israel) and no such 'peace' in effect yet. I'm sure the people in the Lebanon and in Haifa will welcome the chance of a respite at the very least.
I did thing the person you linked to saying the Lebanese gov = Hezbollah is at the very least lazy.

The UN is the number 1 supporters of world wide terrorist they shelter the terrorist and remember that many terorist supporting nations belong to the UN

Bryan, I didn't read the link you comment on. But imagine, if HA becomes the majority of the government? Is is supposed to disarm itself? Shiates make 41% of the Lebonese population. Let's not kid ourselves that the UNIFEL will actually do something to disarm them. UNIFEL was given $100 million per for five years to disarm HA....look how well they've done so far.
Sure the rockets will stop falling in Israel for some time....only to be start again HA has more artillery built up from Iran and Syria. Nasrallah will go on tv and proclaim this a victory for themselves and thus terrorists win. Many Lebonese want to live in peace and many do not. Let's not kid ourselves and absolve Lebanon of all responsibility.
Dan - your idea of peace is the same as an ostrich's method of safety.

Worse, it's like a bad song from the 60's .

If Hezbollah (why HA?) was the government of Lebanon, I'd agree. I'm sure there are plenty of Lebanese who support them (ironically, probably more now), but we must separate them from the good, just like the world seperated the jews who bombed schools and tourists in the 1940's from those that wanted peace and statehood for Israel.

Dan, can so say R. 1559? It was another UN resolution, requiring the disarmament of Hezbollah, the placing of UN troops in Lebanon and a cease-fire. Hezbollah GAINED power, the UN troops did nothing, and Hezbollah attacked Israel and kidnapped 2 soldiers. Peace has been given an array of chances. You are not dealing with rational people. These people call for the annihlation of Israel. Hezbollah also said today that it will not stop the attacks, until Israel is COMPLETELY withdrawn. It also doesn't like R. 1701, because it doesn't condemn Israel solely for the problem and give the land to them.

Only a few minutes ago did Lebanon agree to the Resolution, and I'll bet it changes nothing. Just like 1559.

Remember the snake and the mouse? Give you a ride across the river...

The snake is hezbollah and it IS the nature of h to fire rockets and bombs and kill as many as possible. It's nature does NOT CHANGE.

The only difference with the tale is that Israel is insistent that h tape it's mouth closed, and until it does, it will NOT accept a ride - only to be eaten. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT.
