Unbelievable
I can't believe Michelle Malkin knows who I am. I can't believe she's heard of my blog. I can't believe she has sent me email.
But what I really can't believe is that she asked me to guest-blog on her site starting Monday.
I really can't.

You'll believe it when you start getting the hate mail. And, it looks like it already started. Ignore them. Better yet, ban them. And congratulations!
Posted by: sam at August 13, 2006 09:27 AMCongrats Karol. Of course she knows who you are - you've interviewed her on at least two occasions!
Posted by: Petitedov at August 13, 2006 10:33 AMFirst, spurwing plover, then Michelle Malkin. It was a given.
Posted by: sam at August 13, 2006 11:27 AMA well deserved assignment. More proof that I only read the very best bloggers.
Posted by: Jake at August 13, 2006 12:36 PMKarol: Since you are filling in for Malkin, doesn't this make you, ahem, Allah's boss? I think so.

Yes, I know. I meant in general. I've been reading her since well before she or I had blogs.
Thanks for the well-wishes Jake and Sam, I'm really looking forward to it.
Posted by: Karol at August 13, 2006 02:29 PMThat's awesome Karol! It couldn't have happened to a more deserving blogger. Now break a leg, or good luck, or whatever the most appropriate expression is for new guest bloggers.
Posted by: Zelda at August 13, 2006 04:25 PMCongrats!
Posted by: T. at August 13, 2006 05:40 PMI'd hardly call my referring to Malkin as a loon as being hate mail. Life's too short to hate anyone.
Posted by: Dave at August 13, 2006 11:27 PMWell, I sure wouldn't call pissing all over Karol's good news as love.
Posted by: sam at August 13, 2006 11:34 PMMind if I buy you with a question? It certainly isn't hate mail, and I hope it's not polarised that way.
I don't generally read a lot of blogs, but I decided to look at a few today and found some things that frustrate me about all of them, whether liberal or conservative. However, I read your note on Michelle Malkin's blog today about Howard Dean calling Saddam Hussein a 'pain in the neck'. To me, you see, I took that as the same as if I were to describe Hussein as a "pretty bad guy". Pretty bad certainly isn't accurate - the guy was a monster! But it's just a manner of speaking.
Anyways, the point is, if this is what prevents you from trusting democrats on anything, why do you trust republicans after Bush once said he's 'not that concerned' about bin Laden? That sounds like an equally innane position to take, especially in light of recent events.
Just curious, really. Best of luck with the guest-writing!
Posted by: B at August 14, 2006 06:51 PMOh, man, I suck at this. That was supposed to read, "Mind if I BUG you with a question..."
D'oh. That preview button probably would've been a good idea.
