Quote of the Day

So there you have it. MySpace is completely regressing back to highschool where everyone wants to hang out with the cool people and be in their top 8 12 or whatever. It's completely pathetic, and it's officially making my day job suffer.

P.S. Let me know if you want to be my MySpace friend cuz I only have like 35.

It only makes sense, since about half of MySpace users actually are in high school.

What clique would you consider yourself apart of?

Myspace jumped the shark a good while ago. When I joined back in 2003, it was smaller, and had more late twenty-somethings, early thirty-somethings with ideas. Now it's just a place for plastic people and dopy teens to pose 3/4 naked with captions like "hot biatches" or some such nonsense. Really, it's increased my already festering misanthropy tenfold.

I have friends who have tried to sell me on myspace, but as a 32 year old male, the idea of getting a myspace account seems somewhat "icky," for lack of a better term. It would be like getting a new hobby that involves a pair of binoculars and a car with tinted windows parked outside a junior high school. No thanks.

In fact, I have some friends who work as teachers and school psychologists who have been required by the school district in which they work to shut down their myspace pages as a condition of employment.

I got a page awhile ago because I heard kid's weren't into it anymore, and I figured it was about to kind of grow up. I still don't get it though, I mean the basic mechanics of how to put crap up on it and how it's different from a regular blog and why does it always turn my cursor into a pumpkin or something. So I've still only got that one friend there. I'd be this chick's friend if she'd show me how that part works, but it dosen't look like there's comments or email at her site.
