Path to 9/11

Red State has clips from the "Path to 9/11" movie. It looks pretty good. Via Hot Air.

UPDATE: I didn't see it but here's a review from my father: "Hey, we still live in free country! The movie was on and it was great. It totally destroyed my evening, but I'm really proud of ABC....
Bill and Madeline did not wanted us to see this. I'll watch the second part tomorrow."

What is going to be shocking about this film is not the ineptness and cowardice of the Clinton Administration. We all knew about that.

No, the shock is going to come from watching the dedication and the relentlessness of Al Qaida in the pursuit of our death.

The theme of the first two hours is:

Inaction and indecision has consequences.

Posted by: Jake at September 10, 2006 10:03 PM

The theme of the movie is ratings and Ca$h.

If that were true, they would have sold advertising during the showing. The didn't.

The theme of the democrats is to continue to act like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.

Sam living on the left coast you should know that shock and awe sells.

I'd rather watch Passion of the Christ than path to 9/11 the movie.

If nothing else the clips provided prove that America's biggest enemy is itself. Clinton lost OBL because of politics and Bush is losing Iraq because of Politics

I do? News to me. Again, you implied that ABC was only out to make money with the airing of Path to 911. If ABC's primary goal was to make money, they would have sold advertising during the airing. They didn't.

I'd rather watch Passion of the Christ than path to 9/11 the movie.

Then why didn't you? No one held a gun to your head to watch Path to 9-11.

If nothing else the clips provided prove that America's biggest enemy is itself. Clinton lost OBL because of politics and Bush is losing Iraq because of Politics

Oh, brother! You're full of these nonsensical comments. America's biggest enemy are foreign terrorists. I keep hearing people say when talking about the program that it showed that our biggest enemey are islamofascists. I thought it was funny that anyone needed to state the obvious. But, after reading your comment, it is apparant that some people still don't get it. In fact, will never get it. And that is because of your politics. And, we are not losing Iraq. I know you wish we were -- again, your politics. But, we are not.

If we accept the verity of "The Path to 9/11" illustrative of the truth, do we also have to accept the verity of "The Passion of the Christ" as illustrative of the truth? If not, why not? Karol?

Thomas Kean, a Republican yet very liberal Jersey senator, was an advisor on this project. I'd be surprised if he ok'd anything that was genuinely mean-spirited towards the Democrats.

One part that I hope was accurate - the Feds' anger at the politicization of the investigation. If they weren't angry about the Clinton administration's mistakes, they weren't doing their jobs.

The movie also mentioned how Republicans were claiming that Clinton's attack against Sudan was 'wag the dog'

One innacurracy - all chase-the-terrorist scenes are accompanied by cool, local ethnic music being played by a random observer at high volume. The MTVization got a little tired after a while. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

And in both cases, the primary culprit is poll-watching opportunism getting in the way of resolving issues that present dangers to us all.

Which party have I just described?

Whose opinion matters if not the people's opinion?

Sam don't use my writing unless you plan on paying me for each sentence.

Iraq is in the throes of a "low-level" civil war and public support for the war is at an all-time low, as is Bush's approval rating. That's losing dude. The international community* NEVER supported the Iraq War. Even people like mary (blogger) know Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror. The invasion of Iraq has distracted us from the real enemy which is terrorism. Shifting valuable assets from OBL hunt into the battle to get revenge for "Daddy"

It's people like you ,who didn't have a clue prior to 9-11 what a terrorist was, that supported the Iraq war, that has led to the world disdaining [hating] the United States. And the terrorists being in a well supported position.

If you want to live in a bubble and think you're great and everything is awesome and we're WINNING, just pass the dutchy on the left hand side my brother. 'Cuz you're smokin some powerful shit.

Osama Bin Laden is still "free", Al Qada is stronger than ever, Iraq is becoming like Iran and Lebanon. The "world" likes Hezbollah more than the United States. Happy 5 Year anniversary.

I will say that Bush has done a wonderful job with the economy (esp. post 9/11) but as Clinton gets no credit, neither should Bush in that department.

* Yeah Coalition of the willing...blah, blah, blah.

Use for what? Printing your “writing” out and using it to line my bird's cage? Seems like a waste of good paper and ink.

Bush said, and intelligent people had no doubt, that we were in for the long haul. The media's practice is to avoid covering/minimizing the many advances we, and the iraqis, have achieved. Admit it, Dan. You and your ilk have more of an invested interest in failure then I and others have an invested interest in Bush being re-elected. lol! Kidding aside – shame on you!

It's people like you ,who didn't have a clue prior to 9-11 what a terrorist was, that supported the Iraq war, that has led to the world disdaining [hating] the United States.

Once again, you show your ignorance. You have no idea what I know. And I don't give a shit what the "world" thinks about the US. Doing what is in the best interest of the US is not up for vote by other countries.

And the terrorists being in a well supported position.

There ya go. I don't support terrorist positions. Obviously, you do.

If you want to live in a bubble and think you're great and everything is awesome and we're WINNING, just pass the dutchy on the left hand side my brother. 'Cuz you're smokin some powerful shit.

And if you want to continue hating America and everything it stands for, you need to adjust your psychotropic drugs. Or, go join the terrrorists. Oh,wait, you have.

Osama Bin Laden is still "free", Al Qada is stronger than ever, Iraq is becoming like Iran and Lebanon. The "world" likes Hezbollah more than the United States.

OBL has been rendered ineffective and is merely a symbol. And no, AQ has not become stronger. They've been crushed. You have to be blind or a liar not to see that. And if the "world" likes Hebollah more than the US, I have no use for the "world."

Happy 5 Year anniversary.

No doubt you take great pleasure in what you falsely perceive as our countries failures. Pathetic.

Colonol Sam of the 101'st Keyboard Battalion,

Admit Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terrorism. Bush used post 9/11 unity as a playing card to invade Iraq. Why do all you neo-cons think that because someone disagrees with the direction the COUNTRY (the country is more than just you asshole) is headed they are a terrorist or unpatriotic. This is like the McCarthy era all over again.

"And if you want to continue hating America and everything it stands for, you need to adjust your psychotropic drugs. Or, go join the terrrorists. Oh,wait, you have. "

I don't hate America I hate people like you.

U.S. foreign Policy right now gives me agita not pleasure. Domestically Bush is doing a pretty swell job, IMO. Ironic how he was elected on the opposite philosophy.

Sorry, I cannot repeat your misrepresentation. You are unpatriotic because you side with the terrorists and act gleeful while listing your madeup list of America's failures. And just in case you haven't heard: McCarthy was right. Our country and government was infiltrated with people spying for a foreign country and wanting to destroy our democratic form of government.

I don't hate America I hate people like you.

Cool!

the battle to get revenge for "Daddy"

You just can't help but dive into Stoopid™ off the high board.

Then run around shaking off screaming "look at meeeeeeeeee"

Did your momma have any offspring that lived? Seriously.

Posted by: Radical Redneck at September 11, 2006 04:01 PM

I invented the stoopit joke. I fought with Liberal types on why it's so important for us to invade Iraq. I was deceived as all of you were, because I was fired up from 9/11 I would've ate glass if the president said it would stop terrorist attacks and bring OBL head on a platter

I nearly enlisted after 9/11 because I felt I had an obligation to defend the country and fight in Iraq because Saddam 1. Was involved in Al-Qada's attack on 9/11 and 2. He had weapons that he would give to Al-Qada types that would make 9/11 look like nuttin. Both of wich were propaganda lies to get America fired up to fight. Bush had the support of all of America to do whatever he wanted and he picked Iraq. In hindsite (and I know its BS to second guess but he IS the President they should know better than me) the Iraq invasion was a mistake and now every additional guy we love over there is making it worse and worse. We're gonna give the IRaqi's liberty that they don't deserve or even want. The Bush administration should've went after Al Qada and Osama to the end of the world not opened up a second front. But unfortunately the shots seem to be called by Cheaney and Rummy both of which have no military experience. If Colin Powell had the prez's ear like Rummy does things would be very different and for the better I dare to presume.

I could kick Sam ass and I probably will one day, Radical scares me a little because of the whole Bucky Phillips sniper in the woods thing but I have no fear of fighting and I wouldn't hesitate to call for deployment of U.S. troops to fight for America or our allies. I'm not a terrorist supporter but you can't be stupid and conduct yourself in a manner that creates you more enemies before you finish your main foe. I'm no liberal and I sure as hell ain't no Democrat. Plus me labelling myself a Democrat I think irks K a little and it's good to see her get fired up now and then.

I feel deceived so I have swung away from supporting Bush and the Republicans because they tricked me and America. I haven't figured out why they would do this other than attacking a foe (saddam) that they knew they could catch and beat unlike Osama who seems to have disappeared. I support the US military 100% and I hope the administration does as well. I'm no Democrat I just put that in the name because I don't think I could support the Republicans ever again. Plus if the nation goes anti-war I can be the chief hippy, an have a massive harum, as it seems everyone in this country has gone conservative, it's like the 50's all over again...that was a joke.

How are you as Republicans going to convince me to come back into the Republic fold ? I'm not alone. I sure as hell wouldn't vote for anybody Cheaney or Rummy wants.

I didn't see part one but I did see most of part two and walked away with the following impression.

Richard Clarke, along with FBI agent, John O'Neil, were the only two people who took Osama Bin Laden seriously.

The Clinton Administration and the Bush administration had their hands tied mainly because of agency bureacracy.

George Tenant and Sandy Berger were the boogeymen, along with the heads of the FBI.

Richard Clarke walks away as the man with the "I told you so" written all over his face.
Unfortunately, John O'Neil retired from the FBI, because security director at the Twin Towers and died on his first day at the job on September 11.

Was it me, or was a chunk of the movie, "Flight 93" in the movie? Scenes towards the end looked awfully familiar to me.
