Wait, what?
Can someone explain to me why the movie based on the life of Idi Amin is called "The last king of Scotland"?

In 1974, Idi Amin granted himself the title "King of Scotland", and asked the Queen to allow him into Britain to meet with British (read: Scottish, Irish, and Welsh) independence movements. His full title read:
His Excellency President for Life Field Marshal Al Hadji Dr. Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, King of Scotland, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular.
Robert Mugabe only wishes he was as astonishingly insane as Idi Amin.

No wonder he was so ill-tempered. He totally got gypped.

Oops, I know, Saudi Arabia!
