Clinton is pissed.....

...at the suggestion that he didn't try to get Osama. He says he did try, and failed. I've never seen him lose his cool like that. Watch the clip.

You know what, we still don't have that POS, I'm sick of the blame game. Get his f#$!'n ass alredy. Bush isn't trying hard enough either.

I couldn't make out all the words he said, anyone have a transcript?

Hear, hear. Five years after Pearl Harbor, the Axis leaders were dead or in jail. Five years after Ft. Sumter, Davis was caught. We need to focus more on Osama as opposed to Iraq, Iran, Syrua and whoever the Trotskycon enemy of the month is.

Some points worth contemplating
OBL is not some kind of Magic Terrorist Keystone; when he is captured/killed/dies, I really don't see all the remaining islamo-facist terrorsts laying down their suicide belts and giving up.
What has happened to OBL (becoming a largely impotent figure head who has done little since 9/11 other than appearing semi-regularly to issue video taped messages) is nearly as bad for him & AQ as killing him outright

OTOH, perhaps it's all moot. Ace is reporting a rumor OBL died of Typhoid fever in August

And who actually thinks Bin Laden is still alive?

Posted by: Mark at September 23, 2006 07:56 AM

It is an insult to our national honor that this minion of Satan is still free.

With respect to the August 1998 missile attacks on Bin Laden's camps in Afghanistan, there was every reason to believe that Bin Laden and his main staff would not be present at these camps at that time.

Here's how Osama was tipped off to the missile attacks:

CNN August 13, 1998- "Terrorist base camps evacuated after embassy bombings"

NY Times August 18, 1998- ISLAMABAD "The American Ambassador told an anxious audience of some 150 Americans this afternoon that a charter plane would be arriving on Tuesday morning to evacuate dependents of embassy employees ........." "One man in the audience asked Ambassador Simons about rumors the US was about to launch an attack on bin Laden.................... The ambassador would not comment on that."

DAWN (Karachi English language newspaper) August 20, 1998 editorial- "Account must be taken of the rumours with which Islamabad is awash that the move to evacuate Americans from Pakistan is connected with a possible strike against bin Laden's refuge in Afghanistan."

In addition, the cruise missiles were launched from warships more than 600 or so miles from their targets. They cruise at about 600 mph, at low altitudes to evade radar, but making loud sounds as they go. So, for an hour they were over Pakistan on their way to Afghanistan, time enough for bin Laden to be alerted to the attack.

PS I have the articles referred to above.

I can't see the big deal. Clinton accused of not trying hard enough to get to OBL. Knowing that he did try, he gets annoyed about it. A natural response when one is accused of doing not doing a thing you did, or vicey versa. Bush has done the same thing on the few occasions he has been subjected to criticism.

No- Clinton's pissed because he now realizes that his legacy is forever linked to OBL and 9/11.

The impeached president who let OBL hatch the 9/11 plot. You'd be pissed too, if that's all you were to be remembered for.

Funny,

Cons say that Osama is just a figurehead and make excuses for Bush's failure to capture him but when it comes to questioning Clinton about why he didn't kill him they go nuts.... Hypocrites.

Bush has had 6 years to capture bin Laden, and he was on vacation while al-Quaeda finalized 9/11 plans! To accuse Clinton of not having done his job is typical of people who are jealous and who have accomplished nothing for America.

OBL funded 9/11, he never planned it. Like him or not, at least Reagan wasn't afraid to admit things happened "on his watch"; I can't see how Clinton can be more to blame than his successor, and that dog won't hunt with the electorate either.
