Blame Israel
Allah posts an incredible 4-part series, which aired in Britain, on the left's tolerating of terrorism when it fits in with their 'hate Israel' philosophy. I've only watch the first two parts so far but carve out some time and take a look. A must-see.

Haven't seen it, not even aware of it. Channel 5 specialise in medical freakishness/was hitler gay/sexually different type documentaries. Nobody I work with noticed this either.
That said, yes, perhaps politicians should deplore groups who commit terrorism wherever they are. However, when you realise that the West (generally) supports the oppressive Chinese and Burmese governments, you see what a shitstorm occurs when you do anything but mumble platitudes. It's wrong, and I'd like to apologise for it. Bad people, Bad governments and bad militias should not be supported or aided in any way.
I believe the US government's support of Israel should be an issue in the 2008 presidential campaign.
Who can Israel expect to continue to support their war on terrorism? McCain? I really don't believe so. McCain likes to be hailed by the liberal news media. And during Israel's battle against Hezbollah, McCain kept his mouth shut.
Hillary Clinton? Forget about it. She's trying to sound tough on terrorism until she's changing the drapes in the Oval Office.
For the most part, except for Newt Gingrich, none of the well-known players sound very enthusiastic about helping Israel especially if it means being denigrated the way the media denigrated Bush. And, unfortunately, the media did a hatchet job on Gingrich before, during and after he was the Speaker of the House.
There is one man named John Cox, who's already thrown his hat in the ring as a Republican candidate who believes the US and Israel are fighting the same enemy -- radical Islamists.
Hopefully, his campaign will pick up the support of the GOP base. He's made a good showing in Iowa already.

Having said that, the idea of the man being president having shown that he could get little backing in his numerous campaigns for statewide and party office in Illinois seems a little odd.
