Uh-oh
Plane crashes into building on 72nd and York in Manhattan.
UPDATE: CBS is reporting it's not a helicopter, as believed earlier, and is in fact a small plane. I haven't heard news of any casualties but Jay in the comment section said that 2 are being reported dead. I'll keep updating this post as the story unfolds.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Dawn is telling me that CBS is reporting the plane belongs to Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle.
YET ANOTHER UPDATE: My brother just texted that ESPN is reporting Cory Lidle was the pilot and he is one of four people dead. Dawn is all over this.

It must be a well kept secret, but not all small planes are Cessnas. Ironically (or maybe not) this particular plane had a large parachute as a safety device.

I wondered if the day/date was significant in any way? It caused me concern when I realized that if October 11, 2006 is written as 10/11/6 and is then flipped vertically (upside down) and then horizontally, the date becomes 9/11/01. As we learned, the crash was a tragic accident and this trick of numbers was merely a fluke.
