Lowlife

Regular readers of this blog know that I'm no fan of John McCain. In fact, I'm on the Anybody But McCain bandwagon for '08. But the Hillary camp has taken just about the lowest blow possible. Ben Smith quotes Maureen Dowd:

Privately, Hillary’s camp was not overly upset by the McCain swipe because it suspected he was doing the bidding of the White House and that he ended up, as one adviser put it, “looking similar to the way he did on those captive tapes from Hanoi, where he recited the names of his crew mates.”

I mean, wow. Ben's got the rest of the story, with responses from both camps. Wow!

Nothing the Clintons do or say surprises me.

He is a moral coward, a pathological liar and perjurer, a sexual sociopath and almost certainly a rapist (Anita Broderick), and the most financially corrupt President in American histoy. I know of no other Chief Executive who so obviously accepted money from foreign governments to finance his campaigns (Johnny Chung, et al) or found it expedient to pardon criminals like Mark Rich for financial gain while walking out the WH door.

She is a grasping, equally debased harpie whose personal corruption includes the ultimate marriage of convenience, the WH Travel Office scandal, and the missing Rose Law Firm billing records, to name just a few of her more visible escapades.

She (and he in the worst "two for the price of one" tradition) would be absolute disasters for America if given access to ultimate power again. Neither of them is fit to tie John McCain's shoelaces.

Totally in agreement Redhand though, like Karol, I suspect I probably won't be voting for McCain in the primaries (not to say I will be a member of Anybody but McCain since Romney's position on abortion seems about as consistent as oh John Kerry's on Iraq and Rudy....well nuff said since we know where he stands on sodomite marriage and abortion). I have to say I am impressed with how quickly McCain's camp punched back here; I think he learned his lesson from 2000.

Von Bek: I don't think I'll be voting McCain in the primaries either. He's dropped significantly in my estimation over the years, but I think RINO is too shrill an appelation for him. I do consider him something of a flake, and suspect on many issues. Still, I greatly respect his quiet dignity as a Viet-nam POW, and would definitely vote for him as Pres. over any Demo candidate.

I also agree that he's learned the fine art of quick counter-punching. Bush '43's mob did one of the sleaziest hit jobs ever on McCain with their despicable "McCain is a Hanoi-Hilton nutjob" slur campaign in South Carolina in 2000.

Well said, Redhand!!

Funny... just the other day, husband Bill was talking about how defensive Ann Coulter has become recently and was heard saying Ann:

“looked similar to the way Juanita Broddwick did as she was pinned underneath me, where she recited the rosary while she experienced my manhood.”

Funny how sociopaths find it so easy to project experiences of pain into ordinary every-day situations.

Every time I hear about Maureen Dowd, I'm struck by the New York Times' confounding astigmatism where the value of a dollar is concerned.

If I want to educate myself and remind myself of left-wing prejudice, which is priceless, the New York Times will let me have that for free. If I want to give a pet parrot a toilet, I have to spend 75 cents to do that. To go wading into Dowd's personal biases and dislikes, which I couldn't care less about, I have to sign up for Times Select.

Alpha...Bravo...Charlie...Echo...Able-Danger? ; )

The SS Clinton is using the only bilge pump it has left at its disposal.

This ship started sinking the moment its captain put the ink on the paper that allowed him/her to use C.A.G.(Combat Applications Group)AKA 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta(SFOD-D) against US citizens, INCLUDING 22 CHILDREN!

Operation "SHOWTIME" became operation "MUST CONTROL THE FACTS".. and down that rabbit hole it went.

SS Clinton captain and crew used [CAG-DELTA] as their own personal "sweepers" from then on in order to keep the ship afloat. And C.A.G. is good at what THEY do. ; )

Without the power of the captain's own private delta army what do they have left?

Answer: The media

Find a life-boat now before history sinks the SS Clinton. Or, cuff yourself to a railing so you won’t panic too much. : )

Before we get too bent out of shape, let's remember that this is Maureen Dowd, the queen of out-of-context, distorted quotes. (Heck, Karol -- it was your boy James Taranto who broke that story.) Just Google for "dowdifying" or "dowdified" for more examples.
