Borat!

I can't wait to see Borat. Allah's got the video of his interview with Alan Colmes.

I don't find him that funny. I bought Ali G. season 2 and it was merely okay. I found the ad he did where he interviewed Shak hilarious, but not his skits. Again, they were entertaining, but I wouldn't go out of my to see him. OTOH, I have heard nothing but good things about the movie, so enjoy yourself. :0

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did when I saw the "Throw the Jew down the Well" skit.

I have a "throw the jew down the well" story. I wouldn't call it a knee slapper.

A guy I worked with told it to me. It seems that his aunt and mother were living in what became Yugoslavia. Both were engaged. However, the aunt's engagment was called off. Because she was the eldest sister, his grandmother made his mother delay her scheduled wedding which, of course, upset his mother greatly.

Three weeks after the date they would have been married, the fiance was thrown down the well by the SS. Therefore, it was a MIRACLE that the elder sister's wedding was called off because if it hadn't been, his mother would have married and would have been thrown down the well, too. Then again, his mother ended up at Auschwitz, so I don't see much of a silver lining.

You crazy Jews!

You do realise that americans (particularly the narrow minded ones) are the butt of this film? Their even-more-outrageous-than-Borat outgoings have those who deride your country and your president pissing themselves with laughter.

outgoings? I think I meant outpourings. sorry.

We are secure enough in our identity and blessing to be Americans, that being spoofed, which the subjects are quite aware of, doesn't bother us. Hell, it's not like we're english or something! lol!

Exactly. The rest of the world can laugh at us all they want; they'll still be them and we'll still be us and I know which I'd rather be. :-)

On that we can certainly agree ;-)
