Charles Barron needs to go

You know, I see the headline "NYC Councilman Calls For Violence Against Cops" and I don't even need to ask who.

He's been dancing around the subject for weeks, now he just comes out and says it.

Just one thing about the caption in that video,

Barron represents East New York and Brownsville, not Queens.

Other than that nothing about the video surprised me.

Bobby Rush was a former Black Panther too, but at least he had the temerity to protest against a despotic African regime, rather than extolling it on the steps of City Hall.

Can't one of NY's finest just stop Barron and ask him to take out his weapon (you can bet an idiot like that carries one) and blow his head off when he takes it out.

The only weapon he carries with him is his capacious mouth, which is running 24/7 year-round.

I doubt that he would have the temerity to actually confront someone physically, notwithstanding all of the faux machismo bullshit he spews.

We need to bring back ostracism.

But it would be wrong for cops to call for violence against Barron... right?

Can we compromise?

If he wants violence against cops, would he settle for one of these non-lethal'beanbag guns' used to subdue officers?

An earlier thread worried about the United States becoming a third-world country?

It's Charles Barron and the "Free Mumia" crowd who will get us there, if they get their ways.

After admitting that he has not protested any of the 11,000 murders in NYC since 1993, Charles Barron called Rich Lowry "clueless" tonight on Hannity and Colmes, when Lowry asked Barron why he was suddenly taking in interest in protesting murders in NYC.

It is foolish to think that Charles Barron should organize 11,000 demonstrations. This is a mere diversion from talking about 50 bullets and killer cops. Barron has always demonstrated against community violence: from 8 yr old Daeshawn Hill being killed by drug dealers to Romona Moore who was missing, raped and killed in East Flatbush. Lets set the record straigt. Barron is a real champion for his people and human rights.

Barron never called for violence against cops.He WARNED of a social explosion if there is no justice because some blacks are angry and fed up. Elanor Bumpers, Alberta Sprewell, Amadou Diallo, Patrick Dorismond, Timothy Stansbury, Malcom Ferguson, and countless others all Black, innocent victims of police killings. The police get away with with murder in EVERY case. Where is the Justice? Why dont you all write to the Police Department as ask them to stop their racist police violence rather than write lies about Charles Barron?

Posted by: O. Pow at December 9, 2006 05:39 PM

Racist police violence? Most of the cops involved in the shooting weren't white.

Another one of these ranting radicals as mush a danger to everyone as the rest of these extremists like the BLACK PANTHERS and THE NATION OF ISLAM this radical should be told to tone it down or any muder of cops will be on his shoulders

I see ANSWER has found Alarming News.

For the record, this "champion for his people" stuff is racist crap. Barron is a representative of his constituents, whatever their races may be. When race trumps electoral/constitutional responsibilities, then we end up with Rhodesia on the Hudson. Of course, one gets the impression Charles Brown would be just fine working within the current Zimbabwe power structure.

And as someone else pointed out, a lot of those cops were, in fact, black. Or does being a black cop automatically turn said cop into an Oreo?

If he was alive today, Martin Luther King would, I think, be relatively pleased with the social progress towards a colorblind society, and would at the same time be absolutely appalled by the success of racialist demagogues.

Why dont we side with Mr. Barron and close all the precints that patrol predominately black areas, move the cops to whiter non viloent areas and let them kill each other and see what he says then.

I'd like to see if he'd like to slap me. I'm 6'3" and 275....part Pit Bull. Somehow, I think he'd decide against it. He's a pussy.
